Coweta Christmas Parade Of Lights-December 6, 2003 Downtown Coweta (Hwy. 72) 7:00 P.M. You, your family and friends are INVITED to come and enjoy Coweta Parade of Lights – Christmas Villages, Saturday Evening December 6, 2003 at 7 P.M. in Historic Downtown Coweta (Highway 72).  We’re collecting toys for Fox 23/Marines Toy for tots drive. Activities around Coweta 11 AM - 3 PM Indian Tacos being sold at the Coweta Wal-Mart....Davis Chapel Fundraiser 12 Noon - Line up for Coweta Toy Run at First National Bank of Coweta Oneta Branch 12 Noon – 8 P.M. – Arts & Crafts Fair on Corner of Sycamore and Broadway 12 Noon – 5 P.M. – Frost Carriage Rides (FREE of Charge) 1 PM - Toy Run begins will be leaving parking lot of bank.  Run will travel down Hwy 51 approximately 35+ miles per hour.  Please block one lane of traffic at Hwy 51/101st, traffic light at 141st and Chestnut downtown, so the bikes/cars/military could travel to final destination without any breaks in line up. 4 PM - Downtown roads and side streets from Chestnut to Pecan will be closed to set up for Christmas Parade.  No parking downtown past this point.  All cars after 4 PM must be moved. 4 PM - Coweta Ladies Firefighters Auxiliary Chili fundraiser begins. 6 PM - Line up for Christmas Parade at the Junior High. 6:45 PM - Parade will leave Junior High 7 PM - Parade will be downtown 7:45 PM - 9 PM Santa's Village will begin at Central Elementary.  Coweta Education Foundation Fundraiser Santa's pictures, Jupiter jump, basket auction, slices of pie and hot chocolate for sale and more...... Country Music Singers Association Music Show-September 20, 2003 at the J. I. Stipe Center 801 North 9th Street McAlester, Ok. Doors open at 6:00 P.M. and show starts at 7:00 P.M. There will doors prizes given away and a 50/50 drawing at the end of the show. Also, anyone wanting to audition to be on a show, please feel free to attend and let us know. The cost is $4.00 for members, $5.00 for non-members and 10 and under free. Coweta Farmers Market-Start May 10, 2003 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Every Saturday! Sponsored by Coweta Chamber of Commerce and City of Coweta.  Coweta Farmers Market is open to the public and vendors do not have to pay space rental. Title VII Program Hearing-July 22, 2003 10:00 A.M. at Coweta Public School Administrative Service Center. The Hearing is for Native American students. The purpose of the hearing is to provide these parents and community an opportunity to understand the Title VII program. For more info call 918-486-6506.

Football Camp-July 21-23, 2003 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.  at Tiger Field. The Coweta varsity football staff led by Coach Ronald McHenry will conduct and Individual skills football camp. Tiger Basketball Camp-June 9 to 12, 2003 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. each day. The camp is for boys entering 4th. thorough 9th. grades. Fish Fry & Auction-June 07, 2003 at First Assembly Of God in Coweta. The proceeds from both the fish fry and the auction will go to the Church Building Fund.

Hear No Evil -June 7, 2003 7:00 P.M. at Pazzaz Theater, 117 South Broadway. A live Christian music show specializing in Christian rock, rap, hip hop and hardcore performed by today's cutting edge artist.  The first Hear No Evil show will be Friday June 6 in Coweta. Featured bands will be: Recycled Souls, 37 Dead and 70 weeks.  Admission is $5, doors open at 6, show starts at 7. Coweta Chamber 11th. Annual Golf Tournament-June 06, 2003 12:00 P.M. at Woods Golf Course. This is a 4 person scramble with a chance to win $10,000.00 and prizes. Sign Up Deadline For Coweta Citywide Garage Sale-May 14, 2003 5:00 P.M. Anyone wanting to participate in the sale should stop by city hall and fill out a form. Cost is $1.00 per person to pay for maps that will be distributed before sale day. For more info call 918.486.2513.

15th Annual Authentic Indian Taco Dinner-May 03, 2003 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Coweta tradition continues at. St. Vincent de Paul Catholic. The event is the major fund raiser sponsored by the church enabling it to not only continue the ministry to the Catholic community of Coweta, but reach out to the whole community through holiday food baskets, food pantries and other contributions to the area. During the dinner the Women's Club of the church will sponsor a Silent Auction with 50+ items up for bid. Members gather the items all year long to provide a variety of items that appeal to women, men and children. The auction, in its 5th year, enables the Women's Club to host spiritual retreats and maintain the needs of the kitchen at the church. The public is encouraged to attend the Dinner/Auction from 4:00 - 8:00pm May 3 2003 at the church located at 15842 S 297th E Ave (formally South Ave G) in Coweta. Advance tickets ($5.50 adult $2.50 child) are available from any parishioner. Tickets at the door are $6.00 adult $3.00 children. Take-out orders are available by calling 918-486-4757 during the event.

Coweta Free Dump Day-April 12, 2003 9 A.M. - 3 P.M. at Coweta Public Works Facility, 30151 E. Highway 51.  The City will accept metals, furniture and other miscellaneous refuse from Coweta Residents Only. Clean up Coweta - Groups and/or organizations who would like to volunteer to pick up litter along roadways in Coweta should call Angela Richardson at (918) 486-8073 . Free Trash bags will be available for litter pickup at the public works office.

Coweta Public School Kindergarten Screening - Schools and dates are as follows  Wednesday, April 9, 2003- Northwest Elementary;  Thursday, April 10, 2003 - Central Elementary; Friday, April 11, 2003 - Southside Elementary.
