Holiday Shop Coweta Campaign -November 19, 2007 to December 18, 2007 This year's Holiday Shop Coweta Campaign will run through Tuesday, December 18th with the winner being announced on Wednesday, December 19th @ 1:30pm at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center. Coweta High School Veterans' Assembly-Monday, November 12, 2007 10:30am. The assembly will include performances by the CHS Band & Choir as well as a special DVD presentation honoring all veterans.  The assembly will conclude approximately at 11:15am.

Annual Veterans' Day Luncheon-Monday, November 12th @ 12 noon/Coweta Fire Department This year's luncheon will be sponsored by the Coweta Chamber of Commerce & the Coweta Area Blue Star Mothers.   The luncheon will be hosted by the Coweta Fire Department Local Union #3483.   We invite all veterans to enjoy a delicious dinner of spaghetti & meat sauce, salad, & garlic bread catered by Patty's Kitchen. 

Coweta IGC Veterans' Assembly-Friday, November 9, 2007 1:30pm. Scout Troop #646 will be presenting the colors, special guest speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Bruce Hamilton, & Alex Warrior will be the guest trumpet soloist.   Students from IGC will be singing & reciting poetry.   Immediately following the ceremony a reception will be hosted by the IGC PTO

Church of God of Prophecy Harvest Party-October 31, 2007 Stop by 123 W Sycamore & enjoy festivities planned at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy.  Pastor Randy Wisdom invites everyone to a FREE Chili Dinner from 5pm - 8pm indicating that his church simply wants to bless the community with a warm meal Wednesday night.   The Children's Harvest Party will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 including tons of games, prizes, treats, & Coweta's favorite, Dog House Theatre! 

First Baptist Church Trunk or Treat-October 31, 2007 Cars will be lined up in the parking lot of First Baptist Church beginning at 6pm this Wednesday night.  Treats will be handed out until 7:30pm at this favorite Coweta Halloween activity.   We encourage you to bring your little ones out & let them "Trunk or Treat"!   First Baptist Church is located at the south end of Broadway across from Southside Elementary. 

Emmanuel Southern Baptist Hay Ride & Trunk or Treat-October 31, 2007 Bring your costume clad kiddies to 28052 E 127th Street in Skyview Addition from 6pm - 8pm for Hay Rides, Free Hot Dogs, & plenty of goodies as Emmanuel transforms their parking lot into a fabulous Fall Festival!

Chamber Luncheon-August 15, 2007 We'll be meeting at Our House for LUNCH at 12 noon. Our House is located at 322 N Broadway in Downtown Coweta.   The topic of discussion will be the Fall Festival & all of the great opportunities we have in store for this year's Fall Festival!.

Queens of the Nigh-Friday night, July 20, 2007-will be a night to remember for ladies age 6 & up!  The First United Methodist Church Family Life Center will be the location for this exciting event!   The evening will feature an elegant dinner & "to die for" chocolate dessert buffet!!! A fashion show, silent & live auction, door prizes & much more are being planned now! Ladies, this night is for you & we promise to knock your stockings off!

2007 Youth World Bowfishing Championship-June 23, 2007. 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  at Toppers Boat Ramp-Wagoner OK. The tournament welcomes youth from 1 thru 18 years of age compete for plaques, prizes, and cash.  This is a bowfishing tournament but for youth too small or if they just don't want to go bowfishing they can shoot 3-D targets. 1st Annual Coweta Chamber Recreational Coed Softball Tournament-June 02, 2007 Entry Fee is $100.00 per team. Limited to first 16 teams (entry fee must be received to secure your spot. D & E League teams/church/recreational league teams only. (this is for fun!!!) Teams must consist of equal number of male & female players. (Unlimited team members, however, all team members must bat.) Players must be at least 16 years of age. An official set of rules will be provided upon registration.

Trash Off Day and the Great American Cleanup-April 14, 2007. Community beautification projects are also encouraged that day.  For cleanup areas in public places, the City of Coweta will provide trash bags. They may be picked up at the public works facility on Highway 51 just west of the Education Services Center. For more information on how to help with this cleanup project, call Easley at 486-2189.

Wagoner County Junior Livestock Show-February 24 & 25, 2007 at the Fairgrounds-Come out & show your support for area 4H & FFA kids.   The show kicks off Friday night at 5pm with sheep, goats, & cattle being exhibited.   On Saturday, the hog show begins at 8am.   Saturday night from 5pm - 7pm will feature a BBQ dinner.  Dinner is $5 per plate & includes a BBQ sandwich, 2 sides, dessert & drink.  At 7pm, the premium sale begins & all businesses & individuals are invited to come out & who your support by bidding on these show projects.  We hope to see you there!!!

Coweta Dug Out Club Mazzio's Fundraiser-Pack up your family & friends this Wednesday, February 21, 2007 & head to Coweta Mazzio's. You can eat there anytime during the day! Coweta Livestock Booster Club is sponsoring the Annual PIE AUCTION to SUPPORT the COWETA FFA & 4-H. The COWETA FFA & 4-H PIE AUCTION- SATURDAY FEB. 10, 2007 7:00 p.m. at the COWETA HIGH SCHOOL COMMONS AREA. The Coweta Livestock Booster Club raises money to support the FFA & 4-H at Premium Auction's at the Wagoner County Jr. Livestock Show and at the Muskogee Regional Livestock Show. Sometimes there are not enough buyers at the auctions and that is where the booster club steps in and buys the FFA or 4-H Childs animal at the sale. We also support the FFA school farm and other needs of the Coweta FFA & 4-H. The Coweta Livestock Booster Club is a non-profit organization.

1st Annual Kuddles for Kids: Operation Teddy '07-January 18, 2007 3:30 P.M. at Garden Walk Apartments office (Apt #82) for hot cider & cookies as they kickoff their 1st Annual Kuddles for Kids Campaign! The campaign will run January 18th thru February 14th. 2006. Donate your new or "bearly used" bears to Operation Teddy '07. Kuddles for Kids is about giving a kid a Kuddle at a time when they need it most! Each day, Coweta Police Officers interact with children that need comfort in a positive way; the Kuddles for Kids project is about giving an officer a way to build a relationship with the child, while giving comfort.
